It has been awhile since I blogged. I was going great, then Will's Angel Anniversary came and I just didn't want to do anything. So I gave myself some time off from this blog. I am back and I hope I can get back into the swing of things.
It has been freezing here the last few days and we even had a few snowflakes. It was pretty but really didn't last long. I think it is going to warm up this weekend. I really hope so, I just don't like cold weather.
I have been continuing my exercise and trying to eat healthy. I have decided to not weigh myself at all. This is where I always get in trouble, I think the scale should say a certain number and then it doesn't and I get irritated. So I am going to just go by how my clothes fit for now. Later on down the road, I will weigh myself again. I am hoping that it works for me. Anyone have any suggestions for a low calorie chocolate fix? My sweet tooth really gets me in trouble.
I hope everyone is doing well!

Today we found out that my BIL got a job!!! He has been out of work for around 9 months. They have had a rough time and hopefully this will help them get back on their feet. I pray every night for the economy to turn around.

Today I went to my MOD meeting. I had a really great time and really enjoyed volunteering. We had some yummy grilled chicken salads. There were brownies too, I did not eat one!!!!! We toured the NICU, which was wonderful. I did better than I ever thought I would do.

Keeping on Track
I have struggled with my weight for a couple of years now. I would lose 5, 15, 20, heck even 50 pounds and then just gain it all back. The last two years have been even harder to lose. I think stress and honestly just the lack of self love has been a big factor. This year I have decided is going to be different. I am going to commit to work out at least 4-5 times a week. I am trying so hard to eat healthy. It is hard when you are addicted to chocolate. I can do it, I will just take it one day at a time. This is the work out I did today. I love her walk videos and I have several of them. I have a lot of exercise DVD's, which is great because I do not live close to a gym. So wish me luck!

This is our cat, Emma, aka the ruler of our house. Michael adopted her from our local Humane Society. It took awhile for our dogs to get used to her, but now they are best friends, most of the time anyway.
She is a really sweet cat. I know we were never cat people because we have always had dogs, but we love her.

Michael
Michael is my 19 year old and honestly the love of my life. He would so not like that comment. I can't believe he will be twenty years old in just a few months. I know at times I still treat him like he is twelve, but I am working on it. I have been trying to be more laid back and just let him do his thing.
I think he is the cutest thing. He is a great young man and he truly is unique. He is his own person and has his own unique tastes and interests. I think we have done such a great job in raising him too!

I thought I would take the next few days to introduce you to my family. I have a wonderful husband, Jody, and the deer in the picture is his. I know some of you may not agree with hunting and I totally understand that. I know I could never kill an innocent little animal, well except the few that have jumped in front of my car. Anyway, hunting is helpful though, it puts meat in our freezer.
Back to my husband, he loves to hunt and fish. He is an outdoor kind of person. Most of the men in his family are this way. The women have just learned to live with it. Occasionally we have to put our foot down and tell them that they will just to have to skip a weekend or two. Jody is pretty good about and has missed opening weekend for me before.
He is a pretty nice guy and I think I will keep him around for awhile.
